Dragstrip Scaling

The easiest way I have found is to use
10 as the factor.(ex.1320 is the quarter mile.)
1320/10=132. So measure 132 inches out and time
how long it takes then times that by
10 and thats the quarter mile time. (1.5 sec.x 10=15)

Dragstrip Quick tip:Gears

About the quickest and most effective tuning
can be your gears, if its done right.
If your having problems getting off the
line and your running red or greens then drop to
blue. If your able to get off the line but die after
you go then you need to go up a notch. Red
gears give all the top end speed needed, green
is good at acceleration and top end and
blue has low end with no top end. These
results slightly differ from cars as they all have
different voltage.

Timeing Update:

I recorded some times from all of the URC test cars.
These times have been recorded with cars that have no special mods,
only parts that you can buy from the company.

Honda S2000:

This car has 12:1 blue ZZ gears, 3.1 race motor and racing
slicks. This car ran an amazing 4.7 sec in 89.5 inches.
This is amazing because the car has no battery
mods, dual motor mods, weight mods, nothing.

Honda Accord Wagon

This car has crappy range and gets interfered with easy
however, it has a fast get up and go. This car
also has 12:1 blue gears, red ZZ motor and slicks.
This car runs a 5.0 on the 89.5 in. dragstrip.

Zip Zap Cobra

Yes this is the project car but I thought I would run it before
modding. This car has 12:1 blue gears, 2.8
foreign motor, and slicks. All of this was in
hopes of getting the heavy ass Zip Zap off the
line. I think its probably the fastest Zip
Zap that is stock. Any way this car ran a sad but
true 5.7 sec. in 89.5in. Yes that is exactly
1 second slower than the Honda S2000.
